Delete your Topicx account
You can remove your Topicx account and the personal data we hold about you at any time. Both routes below are fully automated, and you can follow the progress of your request on a dedicated status page.
From your account (recommended)
Sign in and open your profile. The “Danger zone” card has a Delete my account button. You will be asked to type your account email to confirm, and then:
- Any active subscription is cancelled.
- Your topics, channels, and summaries are removed.
- Your account is deleted and you are signed out everywhere.
Most requests finish within seconds. If a step is temporarily unavailable it is retried automatically in the background. If anything is still pending after 24 hours the status page will say so, and you can reach us at the address below for a manual cleanup.
Remove Topicx from Facebook
If you signed up with Facebook, you can also trigger deletion by removing the Topicx app in Facebook itself:
- Open Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites.
- Find “Topicx” in the list and click Remove.
- Click View Removed Apps and Websites.
- Next to Topicx, click View, then Send Request.
Facebook then notifies Topicx and we run the same deletion as the in-app flow. Facebook shows you a confirmation code you can use to check progress on our status page.
What we delete
- Your account (name and email).
- Every active sign-in for your account.
- Your topics, channels, and channel weights.
- The summaries we generated for you and your daily credits.
- Your active subscription.
What we keep (and why)
- Past invoices — EU accounting law requires us to retain them for up to 7 years.
- Cached summaries we generated from public YouTube transcripts. These are not personally identifying and are automatically removed once no live topic refers to them.
- Anonymous usage statistics that cannot be tied back to you.
